Atok Flower Farm in Benguet

Last April I had the luxury of going on a mini-adventure with my friends to Atok's Northern Blossom Flower Farm. What was supposed to be a beach trip to Zambales to accommodate our friend who arrived from Australia ended up an instant trip to the mountains of Cordillera...leaving our balikbayan friend in the process. It was one of the best decisions we made.

To get to Atok, we left Baguio at 5am to reach the Northern Blossom Farm before 7am. The road was pretty fun to drive through the zigzag, so fun that I was holding myself from throwing up as I was driving. Getting to the farm is easy as it's situated right next to the highway. The only hard part would probably be the parking as the road is tight and not a lot of space to navigate with.

As soon as you arrive, you'll have to go down a steep driveway and register your names at their center. You'll pay the entrance fee of Php250 per adult; Php200 per senior or PWD; Php50 per kid between 6-10 years old, this will include a snack and unlimited brewed coffee at the end of the walking tour. They also charge an additional Php20 for the environmental fee.

The first area you'll pass through are snapdragons.

Then succulents of different varieties will greet you.

Some succulents reminded me of corals and underwater reefs.

A combination of plants that look better actual than in photos.

The place was full of people. Better get here earlier than 7am.

I can't remember the name of this flower...

Of course the ever famous Cabbage Roses of Atok.

Getting a photo where there are no people was a challenge.

This is the flower that comes out of cabbage roses.

This is before it blooms fully.

It wasn't the perfect Cabbage Rose season when we went there. They say you'll barely see any land patch when the cabbages is in season.

It takes proper angling and timing to get a good shot. Otherwise you'll just include snaps of strangers into your frame.

This was my favorite part because of lush the flowers were, and I wasn't even bending or sitting there. The flowers were quite tall that I enjoyed walking through them at eye-level.

Everlasting reminds me of flower lanyards made for offering.

The sun is on the left where the flowers are gazing.

Sunflowers where bees came at a proximity that's a little too close for comfort.

Gladiolus are cultivated inside the greenhouse.

Not sure what kind of flower this is, but that view is love.

Hydrangeas abound in one area.

The Dusty Miller near the exit caught me in awe. It was my first time to see this plant that seemed so foreign.

You can purchase potted plants at the end of the tour.

We got 2 pcs mamon and brewed coffee with unli refills for free.

The drive and the view is spectacular.

Getting back to Baguio took longer than expected because of the traffic.
